How we met:
Ken began his real estate career working at New Millennium Mortgage Corporation in Naperville after college. About a year into the job, I was hired as an appraisal assistant. Since it was a small company, it was easy to get to know everyone. My position kept me out of the office for the majority of each day, however, our group liked to socialize so we had many opportunities to get to know one another. Ken was the shy one, shocking as that may be, but it didn't take long to see that there was a mutual attraction between us...
Finally it all went down at the company Christmas Party. We were enjoying ourselves at Rock Bottom and Ken was surrounded by all of the ladies from the office. As the night was coming to a close, Ken walked me to my car and we had our first kiss (about time).
Unknown to us, our boss was walking across the parking lot....once we saw him we knew we were busted and weren't sure what it would mean for our future. A few days later we received the "talk" about interoffice dating, but luckily it all worked out. Our first date was at the Samba Room, it went great but Ken was hesitant about jumping into a relationship and had come up with a three date rule. I wasn't to be his "girlfriend" until after at least 3 dates...needless to say I easily passed the test and we were official in no time.
In our 2nd year of dating, Ken decided it was time to buy a place so he settled his roots in Aurora (not the ghetto part). I had dreams of moving to the "Big City" and decided it was time to follow those dreams and moved to Lakeview. Even with 50 miles between us, we were inseparable. After three years of living in different cities and the long commute, we decided it was time to be together. So we compromised and bought a condo in downtown Downers Grove.
Now that we are settled into our home and life in Downers Grove with our "kid," Rocco we are looking forward to our future as husband and wife.
